Privacy Policy

Effective April 23, 2026

Power Moves is a personal tech blog run by Cameron Secore. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and who it’s shared with. Short version: I collect the bare minimum needed to send the newsletter and understand which posts people read. No ad trackers, no cookies for tracking, no selling your data.

What I collect

Newsletter subscriptions

If you subscribe to the newsletter, I store your email address and the date you subscribed so I can send you new reviews and honor unsubscribe requests. That’s it. No name, no IP, no browser fingerprint.

Site analytics

I use Plausible Analytics to see aggregate page-view counts and referrer sources. Plausible is cookie-free and doesn’t collect personal data or use cross-site tracking. No individual visitor can be identified from what it reports to me.

Server logs

My hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs for operational reasons (debugging errors, blocking abuse). These logs may contain your IP address and user agent. I don’t use them to profile visitors.

How I use it

  • To send you the newsletter you signed up for.
  • To understand which posts are getting read, at a page level.
  • To keep the site running and fix problems.

I do not sell your information, and I don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Third-party services

The site is built on a handful of third-party services:

  • Supabase— database, authentication, and file storage. Subscriber email addresses live here.
  • Vercel— hosting and deployment. Handles request routing and basic server logs.
  • Plausible Analytics— privacy-friendly, cookie-free website analytics.
  • Amazon Associates— affiliate link program for most product links on the site. Clicks that go to Amazon are subject to Amazon’s own privacy policy.
  • Impact— affiliate network used for Eight Sleep links.
  • Ambassador— affiliate platform used for Levels links.

When you click an affiliate link, the destination site and its tracking partners may set cookies and collect information independently of Power Moves. I only receive aggregate reporting (clicks, conversions), not your personal data.

Cookies

Power Moves doesn’t set tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies the site sets are functional ones needed to keep you logged in if you’re an admin, or to remember your light/dark theme preference. Affiliate destinations may set their own cookies once you click through.

Children

The site is intended for readers 13 and older. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has subscribed, email cam@powermoves.blog and I’ll remove the record.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe— every newsletter email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email me to be removed.
  • Access or deletion — email cam@powermoves.blog and I’ll confirm what’s stored or delete it.
  • Do Not Track— the site doesn’t use cross-site tracking, so there’s nothing to opt out of.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, I’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, mention it in the newsletter.
