Hi, I’m Cam.

If you want someone who holds back on the truth because they’re afraid of getting blacklisted by big tech companies, my blog isn’t for you.

If you want someone who gets paid big bucks to promote the hottest trend (regardless of whether or not it’s actually good), my blog isn’t for you.

If you want someone who doesn’t actually use the products they write about, my blog isn’t for you.

But…

If you want authentic reviews from someone who doesn’t have to answer to anyone, I made this blog for you.

Who am I?

I'm here to cut through the noise. In a world where tech reviewers are often swayed by sponsorship and brand pressures, I stand apart. I’m a 31-year-old entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for tech, unbound by conventional job constraints, and dedicated to delivering raw and authentic reviews.

Power Moves: The Journey So Far

In 2016, I had recently graduated Keene State College with a business degree and I wasn't sure what to do with my life. I had money saved, and no intentions of working for anyone. So started a blog called Power Moves. I wanted a place to brag about my new tech purchases. It turns out that having a tech blog was an easy justification for buying way too much tech gear.

Fortunately, readers resonated with my in-depth analysis and authentic reviews and this blog went from a fun hobby to a sustainable business.

Exciting Times Ahead: What’s Next for Power Moves?

I made my name for reviewing smart home tech and mesh routers, but I've grown a bit bored because while they were innovative at the time, not much has changed recently.

I recently tested the Apple Vision Pro for a few weeks, but I've yet to write anything about it. The technology was amazing, but the discomfort, combined with not being able to do much with it, left me to return it to Apple.

I'm currently obsessed with fitness and life optimization tech. I'm waiting for Oura and Eight Sleep to ship new products along with a potential Apple ring. Recently, the Humane AI Pin and the rabbit r1 have caught my attention. I'm not convinced either AI product needs its own piece of hardware but I may still try them. The Dyson Submarine (the dry and wet vacuum) is another thing that has caught my eye, but do I really want to make a career out of making vacuum reviews?

To sum up, I'm not sure what to review in 2024, but I promise to continue to purchase whatever I review and to be as unbiased as possible.
